Creating Your Account

1. Download & Launch: Open SmartDeals on your device
2. Choose Sign Up: Tap "Sign Up" on the welcome screen
3. Enter Details: Provide your email and create a secure password
4. Verify Email: Check your email and click the verification link
5. Sign In: Return to the app and sign in with your credentials

Getting the Latest Product Data

SmartDeals maintains a local copy of Woolworths product data for fast searching and offline access:

Why Update?

• Fresh Prices: Get the most current pricing information
• New Products: Discover recently added items
• Availability: Know which products are in stock
• Performance: Faster searches with optimized data

Update Options

• Full Update: Downloads all products (takes longer, more data)
• Incremental Update: Only new/changed products (faster, less data)
• Automatic Updates: App can check for updates periodically

Start Tracking Prices

Now that your catalog is updated, it's time to start tracking your first product:

How to Add Products

1. Browse the Catalog: Go to the Catalog tab and explore products
2. Use Search: Type product names or brands to find specific items
3. Filter by Category: Narrow down results to relevant product types
4. View Details: Tap on a product to see full information
5. Add to Watchlist: Tap "Add to My Products" to start tracking

Product Information You'll See

• Current Price: Latest price from Woolworths
• Previous Price: Price before the last change (if any)
• Product Image: Visual identification
• Availability: Whether the product is currently in stock

Monitor Multiple Products at Once

Patterns let you track multiple related products with a single search term:

Creating a Pattern

1. Go to Patterns Tab: Tap the 🎯 icon in the bottom navigation
2. Tap "Add Pattern": Start creating your first pattern
3. Enter Keywords: Use 2-3 words (e.g., "organic milk", "greek yogurt")
4. Preview Results: See which products will be tracked
5. Adjust if Needed: Refine your search to get 15 or fewer matches
6. Save Pattern: Confirm to start monitoring all matched products

Stay Updated on Price Changes

Enable notifications to get alerts when prices change on your tracked products:
